Outlook is distilled the same way as Gmail: a scheduled distiller reads each inbox, keeps only durable organisational facts, and preserves the exact excerpts that support them. Routine mail, unresolved proposals, personal material and bulk messages are not saved.
What you choose
An inbox is the unit. Each signed-in Microsoft work or personal inbox is connected separately and keeps its own history depth, schedule and read position. Any member can add an inbox they can sign into directly; admins and owners can manage every inbox, while the member who connected one can manage that one.
Pensieve reads both received and sent messages so a conversation is reviewed as a whole. Every folder is read except Junk Email, Deleted Items, Recoverable Items, Drafts, Outbox and Conversation History, along with anything filed beneath them.
What it can't see
- Attachments.
- Anything older than the history depth you chose when the inbox was added.
- Delegated and shared Microsoft mailboxes. Pensieve reads only the mailbox of the account that signs in. Sign in as the shared account itself.
